2023-2024 Federal Programs Stakeholder Meeting #2
Content: GASD will hold a stakeholder meeting for Federal Programs during the month of January. The purpose is to discuss federal program funding for the district including current/past programming, current district needs, plans for 2023-24, and suggestions for future funding. A date and time will be set based on the availability of those interested in participating.

GALETON AREA SCHOOL BOARD VACANCY
The Galeton Area School Board is seeking community member interest from Region II—Galeton Borough 1st Ward, Gaines and Elk Townships-- to fill a vacancy on the Board starting December 4 or as soon as possible through the November 2025 municipal election. At this time, the Board will also consider other District residents for the position as well as those of Region II.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: a citizen of Pennsylvania, current resident of Galeton Area School District for at least one year, of good moral character, and at least 18 years of age.

Scheduled Events Update: The winter concert will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. The Elementary Play will be held on Friday, December 15th at 7pm and Saturday, December 16th at 12:30 pm.
Who's Dying to Be a Millionaire, this year's Galeton Area High School play, will be performed at 7PM both Friday, November 10, and Saturday, November 11, in the high school gymnasium. We hope to see you there to support our hard-working students in their performance!

Reminder: There will be an Act 80 day on Monday, October 30th. We will operate on a two-hour delay schedule with doors opening at 10:00 AM.

Red Ribbon Week is October 23-27! Join the Elementary for a Spirit Week!
The Pink Out event at the GASD volleyball game on 10/16/23 has raised $1187.52. The money will be going to the UPMC HIllman Cancer Center in Coudersport, PA.
