🏐💙 The JV and Varsity Girls Volleyball team traveled to Penn State to watch the Nittany Lions volleyball team in action! What a great opportunity to learn, be inspired, and enjoy some amazing volleyball! 🦁🏐

The Powderpuff game for tonight has been rescheduled to tomorrow, Monday at 7:00 due to rain. We hope to see you there!

🎉 Big news for our high school enrichment teams! 🎉
On September 30th our teams traveled to Smethport, PA, to compete against schools from across IU9 in a Quizbowl. Both teams worked hard, represented us so well, and did an amazing job—with one of our teams bringing home 3rd place! 🏆👏

We are so proud of all these students for their dedication and hard work! Way to go! 🥳

A few of our 4th, 5th, and 6th-grade Enrichment students stepped back in time during a trip to the Pennsylvania Lumber Museum for Woodhicks Day! 🪵🪓

Students traded their traditional classroom for a day in Penn’s Woods, getting an up-close look at how 20th-century loggers lived and worked. Highlights included:

Trying out historic wood-hick tools like cross-cut saws and augers

Watching live demonstrations at the blacksmith shop and shingle mill

Learning what it took for the Camp Cook to feed a full logging camp

A huge thank you to the staff at the Pennsylvania Lumber Museum for hosting such an engaging, hands-on learning experience for our Galeton students!

🌲🪵 Learning Beyond the Classroom! 🪵🌲

On Friday, September 25, our 1st–3rd graders had an amazing day exploring the PA Lumber Museum during Woodhick’s Day! Students rotated through a variety of hands-on stations, learning about Pennsylvania’s lumbering history and life in the logging camps.

They got to touch animal pelts, learn about the lumber industry, visit the blacksmith, explore the bunk house, mess hall and kitchen, see the train and ring the bell, learn about the lumber mill, and so much more! 🚂🔥🦌

What a wonderful day of hands-on learning, history, and fun! We are so thankful for the opportunity to learn about Pennsylvania’s past in such an engaging way! ❤️🌲

On Sunday, September 27, there will be a Boys Basketball Open Gym for any boys in grades 5-8. It will run from 2-4 in the school gymnasium.

Reminder: Monday, September 28, 2026, will be an Act 80 two-hour delay.
