Join the Galeton elementary next week to celebrate reading!
We are so appreciative of the amazing parents and community supporting our students and our school. The coin drive in the elementary school raises money for students to get free books, and we all thank you sincerely for all of your help!!
The boys will play their next round of districts on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 6:30 PM at the Montoursville High School. We will run a spectator bus if there is enough interest. If your student would like to ride the bus, they will need to bring $5 and sign up by noon tomorrow in the main office. Thank you for your continued support of these amazing, hard working athletes!!
Due to the forecast for this afternoon, GASD will be dismissing at 12:15 PM. All after-school activities including the comprehensive plan meeting are canceled.

This program is an initiative supported by all Potter County School Districts and the Potter County Education Council. The Galeton Area School Board is seeking community member interest from Region III--Abbott, Hector, Pike and West Branch Townships-- to fill a vacancy on the Board from now through November 2023, at which time the seat will be filled through the November 2023 municipal election. On Monday, February 13th, 2023, please join us for the second in a planned series of Community Workshops at the school! Each month, the school will be inviting our parents and community members into the building for a positive, solutions-based discussion about a planned topic. This will give us an opportunity to generate ideas and work together to continue making improvements for our students. We look forward to hearing from our district and hope to see you there!
Our meeting topic for February will be "Real-World Skills." The intention is to get input regarding what our community would like to see taught at GASD that will benefit our students in their futures out in the real-world, and maybe to share information about some of the great things we are doing that might not be common knowledge!
The meeting will be held Monday, February 13, 2023 from 5:30PM-6PM in the Conference Room (enter through the main office doors). We hope to see you there!!
