Student of the Month

This student was nominated by Mr. Wishard,he had worked off a debt to the school so that it would be possible for him to use the money he had saved to buy a family member a christmas gift.

2012 LITTLE LEAGUE SEASON

We are starting to prepare for the upcoming 2012 Little League Season and are in need of volunteers to coach TBall, Minor, Major, and Babe Ruth Teams.

The Galeton Area School District will again be providing the opportunity to select a primary group insurance plan for students in the event you currently do not have insurance coverage or would like a supplemental to your current family medical insurance. There are two plans available for your consideration:

Plan #1: School Time Coverage - Costs $22 per student - this will cover injury occuring while the student is traveling to and from school, while attending school sponsored activities such as plays, assemblies, class trips, intramural sports, gym and physical education classes, etc.

Plan #2: 24 Hour Coverage - Costs $88 per student - This will cover all of the above, plus accidents occurring away from school, in the evenings and on weekends, vacations, etc.

The attached brochure is what used to be sent home on the first day of school but is now offered electronically. If you need a printed application please contact the school office.

Galeton Area School District has implemented a new program for newborns in our school district.   Any child born after January 1, 2010 and is a resident of the Galeton Area School District is able to receive a book from the district to help with the child's learning and literacy free of charge.  We would like to encourage children of all ages to read and be excited about reading.
